Scenario 1: Available land—excluding protected areas (PA), extreme topography (slope > 30%, S30), solar irradiation (DNI < 1,000kWh/m2 year), and certain land-cover classes (closed forests, wetlands, moss and lichen, snow and ice, and water (permanent water bodies)) (LU).

Scenario 2: Available land – -excluding areas for Scenario 1 (LU+PA +S30) + areas outside a 10km radius of existing transmission lines (PT10).
