Predicted Rainfall from 6 to 72 hours. Using Environment Canada Data. Models update 4 times daily. Sponsored by Northern Plains Drainage Systems and Ditch Assist
This online map gives you detailed predictions of rainfall and precipitation across Canada and the USA. We use the latest modeling data provided by Environment Canada to show what's likely to happen over the next few days, with forecasts available for 6, 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours.
Here's something important to keep in mind: Our model combines information from multiple sources to give you the most probable picture. It tends to lean slightly towards the higher side of predicted rainfall amounts for extra caution. So, if you see areas in dark blue on the map, they could get rain, but it's also very possible they won't. Think of it as the outer limits of where rain is likely to fall within the timeframe you've chosen.
Key Features:
Timely Updates: Our model data is updated four times daily to ensure users have access to the latest forecasts.
Customizable Layers:
Users can toggle between different time intervals to view specific forecasts tailored to their needs.
Turn OFF other layers so only ONE layer is displayed at a time.
Disclaimer
This is a forecast/prediction, and not in any way a guarantee of what will happen. Our rainfall prediction map utilizes data from the median of all quantile prediction models provided by Environment Canada, aiming to forecast the most probable scenario. While this method generally improves the reliability of our predictions across the USA and Canada, it is essential for users to recognize its limitations.
Specifically, our model is designed to forecast typical conditions and may not capture sudden, localized weather phenomena such as severe storms, which can emerge unexpectedly and are not always reflected in median scenario predictions. We advise users to consult additional weather sources and use their judgment when planning activities that are weather-dependent. This service does not substitute for professional meteorological advice or emergency weather warnings. Use of this predictive data is at the user's own risk.
