Using data from the 2021 Australian Census

Quick start

• Zoom: Use the scroll wheel on your mouse or the zoom in/out options on the toolbar.
  
• Move the map: Grab the map by holding down the left mouse button, then drag into position.
• Change Layer: Go to the Map Legend, untick the current layer and tick the preferred layer.

Please note: Selecting two or more layers will cause layer colours to blend together and multiple popups to appear.

Search Function

Two search functions are available.

• Address Search: Search for locations such as addresses or places. Address Search is found on the top tool bar.
• Advanced Search: Search using terms from the Social Profile names, found here. Advanced Search is located on the side menu of the Map Legend.

Number of Parishes in each Range

For the 2021 Catholic Population layer, the ranges contain similarly sized parishes from small to large and may not contain an equal number of parishes. For all other layers, each range has roughly one-fifth of all parishes.

Popups

Left click on a parish to display additional information.

Numbers in Charts

Hover the cursor over charts in popups to see the numbers in each category.

Missing Chart

The popup shows an empty space when no chart is available.
